Anthropic, a San Francisco, CA-based generative AI company, raised $30 billion in Series G funding. Round led by GIC with participation from Coatue Management, D.E. Shaw, Dragoneer Investment Group, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, MGX, Microsoft, Nvidia, Blackstone, Sequoia Capital, and Altimeter Capital.
Axiom Space, a Houston, TX-based commercial space station and spacesuit developer, raised $350 million in funding. The round, co-led by Qatar Investment Authority and Type One Ventures.
Talkiatry, a New York, NY-based in-network telepsychiatry provider, raised $210 million in Series D funding. Perceptive Advisors led the round and were joined by existing investors.
Solace, a New York, NY-based enterprise connectivity platform, raised $130 million in Series C funding. Round led by IVP, with participation from Menlo Ventures, SignalFire, Torch Capital, Inspired Capital, and RiverPark Ventures.
Loyal, a San Francisco, CA-based longevity biotech company developing lifespan-extension drugs for dogs, raised $100 million in Series C funding. age1 led the round and was joined by Baillie Gifford, The Longevity Fund, and existing investors.
Anterior, a San Francisco, CA-based AI health plan platform, raised $40 million in funding. Sequoia Capital and NEA led the round and were joined by other investors.
OPAQUE, a San Francisco, CA-based confidential AI security startup, raised $24 million in Series B funding. The funding round was led by Walden Catalyst with participation from Intel Capital, Race Capital, Storm Ventures, Thomvest, and Abu Dhabi’s ATRC.
Terra Industries, an Abuja, Nigeria-based defense technology startup, raised $22 million in funding led by Lux Capital, just one month after securing $11.75 million in a round led by 8VC, bringing its total funding to $34 million.
🚀 Series A
Simile AI, a Stanford-roosted AI startup, secured $100 million in Series A funding. Round led by Index Ventures.
Ever, a London, UK-based fintech company, raised $31 million in Series A funding. Round led by Eclipse, with participation from Lifeline Ventures, Ibex Investors, Maki VC, Joint Effects, and JIMCO.
Didero, a Toronto, Canada-based retail operations platform, raised $30 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Chemistry and Headline, with participation from M12 and Microsoft’s Venture Fund.
🌱 Seed & Early Rounds
The Biological Computing Company, a Boston, MA-based startup building neuron-powered computing platforms, raised $25 million in Seed funding. Round led by Primary Venture Partners.
Project Omega, a New York, NY-based startup, raised $12 million in Seed funding. The round was led by Starship Ventures with support from Mantis Ventures, Buckley Ventures, Decisive Point, and Slow Ventures.
Upside Robotics, a Waterloo, Ontario-based autonomous agricultural robotics company, raised $7.5 million in Seed funding. The round was led by Plural, including participation from Garage Capital, and Moxxie Ventures.
🤝 Strategic, M&A & Undisclosed
ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, a Haifa, Israel-based container shipping company, was acquired for $4.2 billion by Hapag-Lloyd, a Hamburg, Germany-based global shipping company. Hapag-Lloyd financed the transaction using cash reserves and up to $2.5 billion in external funding.
University of Colorado System, a Colorado-based public university system, signed a $2 million agreement with OpenAI to provide ChatGPT Edu access across campuses.
💸 Startups Raising
Anduril Industries, defense tech startup, is in talks to raise new funding at a valuation of at least $60 billion.
Legora is raising funding at a $6 billion valuation.
Shield AI is reportedly seeking up to $1 billion in new funding at a $12 billion valuation.
Stark Defence, German’s defense tech startup, reached a €1 billion valuation after securing fresh funding. Found led by by Sequoia Capital, including participation from Founders Fund.
